What You’ll Do
- You'll build software that matters. We make software that helps small businesses and entrepreneurs get the capital and financial services they need to succeed and support their local communities.
- Your team decides the best technical approach and commitments, not your manager.
- You'll collaborate with super-smart people to build a next generation platform with plenty of challenging engineering problems, as we enable capabilities to transform the outdated financial banking system.
How You’ll Do It
You'll work on a cross-functional scrum team within a scaled agile environment, performing many of the activities below.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure TypeScript applications for our digital banking platform, leveraging technologies such as React, CSS, and WebComponents to ensure a seamless and interactive user interface.
- Analyze and design new features and functions to streamline the end-user’s experience.
- Help establish and document designs and engineering standards, as well as participate in peer reviews.
- Work closely with the technology team to set best practices, coding standards, and development guidelines to ensure a consistent and high-quality codebase.
- Continually deliver features and functionality to bank stakeholders on a 2-week release cycle.
- Work alongside different departments within the bank and learn their domain.
- Design and implement libraries and frameworks that allow us to effectively scale development on our different applications.
- Learn quickly and adapt fast. We are looking for folks to lead the charge, not just keep up with it.
Required / Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of experience working on a Scrum/Agile team.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining TypeScript React applications, preferably within the fintech or banking industry.
- Strong understanding of React, WebComponents, and other modern web technologies, with the ability to build engaging and intuitive user interfaces.
- Capable of delivering work with little supervision.
- Proficient at unit testing, debugging, monitoring, and logging tools for effective troubleshooting of complex issues.
- Experience with AWS services, particularly AWS Lambdas, and a solid understanding of cloud-based architectures and best practices.
- Solid understanding of security principles and data protection best practices within a financial services environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- A passion for learning and staying updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.
