Our client is looking to hire a motivated individual to join their company as an Sr. IT Project Manager. As part of their technical project management team, you will provide proactive, project management expertise while focusing on customer loyalty and building long-term client relationships. You will drive the delivery of market-leading professional and managed services using a proactive approach focused on the client’s business. In addition, they would encourage your suggestions on new and innovative ways to improve their business. As a Sr. Project Manager, you will help set the standard for delivering a great client experience and help build a world-class services practice. ?

Job Functions:

  • Serve in an operational engineering capacity in a client-facing role providing both proactive and reactive support for mission-critical client infrastructures
  • Demonstrate a “client-first” attitude while solving complex technical challenges and communicating effectively
  • Provide a timely response for issues that occur within a client’s environment and troubleshoot using personal expertise and vendor escalations, as needed
  • Provide subject matter expertise for systems technologies including, but not limited to: Microsoft operating systems, active directory, virtualization platforms, storage solutions, and systems security
  • Create and maintain documentation for the client and internal Katalyst managed services team
  • Provides root cause analysis for business-critical issues
  • Use your expertise to perform key systems administration functions such as applying security patches, performing systems maintenance, and optimizing client environments
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, escalating as needed
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
  • Maintain a positive attitude and passion for serving our clients

 

Experience:

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years total work experience in IT
    • 4+ years in an Operational Support role focused on networking
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • Cisco CCNP Certification
    • Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist
    • Cisco Security Certifications
    • Fortinet Certifications

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Provide ongoing support for the functionality and efficiency of client computer networks (LAN/WAN)
  • Hands-on experience with communication protocols and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF)
  • Advanced knowledge implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting Cisco and Meraki wireless infrastructures
  • Experience of at least several of the following Cisco and Fortinet technologies: NGFW / NGIPS, site-to-site VPN, Remote Access VPN, MFA, and Web / DNS filtering
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., PRTG, Auvik, Wireshark)
  • Proficiency or desire to learn SD-WAN technologies from Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet
  • Ability to prioritize a dynamic workload while delivering exceptional client experience
  • Hands-on experience with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) solutions such as Kaseya, N-able, or ninjaOne
  • Working with Managed Services leadership to optimize operational processes
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to set priorities and adapt to changes in a quick, professional manner
  • Ability to use discretion when handling confidential information
  • Ability to effectively perform in a team environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with compute, storage, virtualization, and public cloud infrastructure
  • Experience administering AWS and Azure infrastructures (systems, storage solutions, security)
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS) relative to implementing, configuring, and supporting IT infrastructure
  • Proficiency supporting SD-WAN technologies
  • Linux administration experience
