Position Title: Network Security Engineer - Fortinet

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Engineer to join our team. As an NetSec Engineer you will be responsible for providing expertise in all aspects of cybersecurity solutions including Fortinet environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and customer support, to design, implement, and support Fortinet solutions for our clients. Your in-depth knowledge of Fortinet's products and services will be instrumental in driving successful deployments and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the primary technical resource for Network Security/Fortinet solutions, providing expert advice and guidance to internal teams and customers.
  2. Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, propose appropriate solutions, and support the sales process.
  3. Design and architect solutions based on customer needs, ensuring they align with industry best practices and security standards.
  4. Plan and execute successful implementations of products, including firewalls, secure access, endpoint protection, and security management systems.
  5. Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for solutions, both remotely and on-site if necessary.
  6. Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and training programs for customers and internal teams to enhance their understanding and effective use of solutions.
  7. Stay up to date with the latest developments and advancements in products, industry trends, and emerging cybersecurity threats.
  8. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including solution architectures, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
  9. Participate in the development and execution of proof-of-concept demonstrations and presentations to showcase Fortinet's capabilities to potential clients.
  10. Collaborate with technical support teams to escalate and resolve complex issues, ensuring timely and effective problem resolution.
  11. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing strategic guidance on how to optimize and enhance their cybersecurity infrastructure using solutions.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (such as NSE 4, NSE 5, NSE 6, or NSE 7) will be a strong plus.
  2. Extensive experience working with Fortinet's cybersecurity solutions, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiClient, and FortiSIEM.
  3. Proven track record in designing, implementing, and supporting complex network security solutions using Fortinet technologies.
  4. Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall technologies, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and other security technologies.
  5. Familiarity with industry best practices and security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  7. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  9. Strong customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships.
  10. Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, on-site deployments, and training sessions.
