About Our Client

These services include IT engineering, adoption, managed and cloud services. Their goal is to drive success through technology all while empowering people and organizations.

Our Client is looking to hire a motivated individual to join their company as a Sr. Consulting Engineer, Network Security. As part of the Consulting Team, you will play a large part in the maintenance, hardware and software upgrades, and repairs of network issues, and infrastructure. You will develop creative solutions in close collaboration with key business partners, develop and implement new processes to prevent future maintenance needs, and employ continual improvement processes to identify areas ripe for improvement and streamlining. This is a vital technical position, and the ideal candidate has at least three years of professional experience in a role related to information technology and operations.

 

Job Functions:

  • Serve in a consulting engineer capacity in a client-facing role providing both proactive and reactive support for mission-critical client infrastructures
  • Demonstrate a “client-first” attitude while solving complex technical challenges and communicating effectively
  • Provide a timely response for issues that occur within a client’s environment and troubleshoot using personal expertise and vendor escalations, as needed
  • Provide subject matter expertise for systems technologies including, but not limited to: Microsoft operating systems, active directory, virtualization platforms, storage solutions, and systems security
  • Create and maintain documentation for the client and internal managed services team
  • Provides root cause analysis for business-critical issues
  • Use your expertise to perform key systems administration functions such as applying security patches, performing systems maintenance, and optimizing client environments
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, escalating as needed
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
  • Maintain a positive attitude and passion for serving our clients

 

Skills Required

  • Cisco routing and switching
  • Meraki and Cisco Wireless
  • SDWAN experience
  • Fortinet Firewalls
  • Cisco Firewalls

 

Desirable Certifications

  • Cisco
    • CCNP / CCIE
  • Fortinet
    • NSE

 

Experience

  • 5+ Years designing, implementing, and troubleshooting
  • Client-facing preferred / strong communication and customer service skills

 

Major Bonus, but not required:

  • Cloud Networking certs (AWS, Azure) or a willingness/excitement to learn in this area

 

Other, but not mandatory, skills:

  • VMware / VMware Networking
  • Systems knowledge (Microsoft, Linux)
